Westgate (Crappy Customer Relations)

Recently I attended a sales pitch for Westgate in Gatlinburg TN. I was offered a two bedroom with 13 weeks a year use for $13,180. The salesman started the conversation about how he was one of corporates "hatchet men" and had been brought in to fire a few managers and was just helping them out.
I thought this deal was too good to be true and was about to buy it. When we sat down to talk about the details I started asking questions about seeing the contract so I could read the fine print up front. The salesman looked at me and said "if you think I am lying to you and you don't believe me, don't buy it". Don't trust or believe, well I don't even know you I said so he got up and walked away.
Another lady came over to evaluate how our presentation went. I stated it was fine and I was ready to buy until I started asking questions of the salesman and wanting to see a contract. She then looked at me and stated that no one in her years of sales had ever asked to see a contract. I find this hard to believe! I then made a comment about her clients and asked if everyone was uneducated as I could not see someone blindly signing something that involves their money. She got extremely upset, through the paperwork at me, called me rude and said to get out.
I guess what I am saying is this "if it seems too good to be true, it usually is". If you are on vacation and get dragged into one of these deals make sure your asking the right questions because you might just find that when the right questions are asked, they don't want to deal with you. Never allow them to get the best of you with high pressure sales, start asking to see a contract so that the fine print can be read upfront, this will probably show you if it is a scam or not.
